Andrea Maturana Ramírez is Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Pathology and Medicine at the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Chile. She has been the Director of the postgraduate Program of Oral Pathology in the same Faculty as well as undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate mentor teacher. Her research interests are oral pathology diagnosis and oral cancer and its relation with vitamin D. She also works at San Jose Hospital, a public hospital in Santiago. Professor Maturana has over 16 publications in peer reviewed journals and several book chapters. Her clinical work area are diagnosis of oral pathologies and biopsy reports. Apart from that, since 2019 she has been the co-director of “Oral Pathology Cell”, the first tele-dentistry program which is part of a national program called “Digital Hospital” from the Chilean Ministry of Health.
