This webinar provides an overview of system-based approaches to improving oral health in long-term care settings. It examines how different models of long-term care insurance and universal health coverage — including Japan’s well-established framework — can strengthen access to preventive services for older adults. The session also highlights how FDI’s Oral Health for an Ageing Population (OHAP) resources can be leveraged by policy makers, dental and other healthcare professionals to promote prevention, support early detection of oral diseases, and integrate oral health into broader healthy-ageing strategies.
