Success Stories on Integrating Oral Health into General Health
This session will review the evidence on the connection between oral and general health, explain the importance of integrating oral and general health, discuss effective approaches to strengthen collaborations between general physicians and dentists in prevention diseases.
Examples of integration from China, Singapore, China and World Dental Development Fund supported projects will present strategies on the integration of oral health and general health to address non-communicable disease prevention, methods to integrate oral health and general health in education and training as well as in health promotion activities in different settings will be highlighted, but also the development value-based care pathways, and home-visit dental care and cooperation systems.
