Prof. Mel Mupparapu
Dr Mel Mupparapu is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist who is a professor and Director of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia, USA.
Dr Mupparapu published over 150 peer-reviewed publications and co-authored several textbooks in Radiology. Dr Mupparapu taught and practiced Radiology at various dental schools and Universities in India, Jamaica, Malta and the United States of America. A former United States Fulbright Scholar, Dr Mupparapu is currently working as a co-investigator on a collaborative grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to investigate the effect of antiretroviral mediation on bone density.
Dr Mupparapu is also co-investigating the role of artificial intelligence in the detection of periapical dental lesions.
