Prof. Ihsane Ben Yahya
Professor Ben Yahya assumed position as FDI President in September 2021, she is a committed advocate for oral health, particularly in the African region. She is the president and a founding member of the Moroccan Dental Association (Association Marocaine de Prévention Bucco Dentaire – AMPBD). Under her leadership, AMPBD has become a leader in promoting preventive strategies and offering continuing education opportunities to ensure better oral health outcomes in the country.
As a professor at the dental university in Casablanca, Morocco, Professor Ben Yahya has trained generations of dentists in Morocco. She is also the chief physician at the Center for Dental Consultations and Treatments at the CHU Ibn Rochd Hospital in Casablanca. She has also served on numerous committees, commissions, juries, and boards throughout her career in dental medicine.
Dr. Astrid Czock
Astrid Czock, Master of pharmacy and PhD in medicinal chemistry, is the CEO of QualiCCare, a Swiss interprofessional non-profit association, aiming to increase the quality of care for patients with NCDs in primary. As a visiting scientist at the University of the Pacific (UOP), Stockton, CA, USA, she developed substances against colon cancer.
After working for 8yrs as a community pharmacist in Switzerland, she took up the position of Department Head for Science, Education and Quality in pharmaSuisse, the Swiss Pharmacists’ Association. She has been part of an interprofessional expert group of the Swiss cancer league preparing and submitting a national colon cancer screening program.
Dr. Patsy Yates
Dr Patsy Yates AM, FAAN, FACN, is Executive Dean Faculty of Health at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She has extensive experience in research, education and practice in a variety of cancer and palliative care contexts. Her research focuses on improving the management of cancer related symptoms and optimising health service delivery for people affected by cancer.
Prof. Jon Snaedal
Professor emeritus in Geriatric Medicine, former Chair of the Standing committee on Medical Ethics of WMA, President of WMA and currently secretary of the Past Presidents and Chair of Council Network of WMA. Former President of the International College on Person Centered Medicine. Main professional topic has been dementia, a highly inter-professional field.
Prof. Alessandro Villa
Alessandro Villa, DDS, PhD, MPH is the Chief of Oral Medicine, Oral Oncology and Dentistry at the Miami Cancer Institute. He also serves as a Professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, FIU. He was previously faculty at the University of California San Francisco and Harvard University. Dr. Villa’s research focuses on HPV related cancers, leukoplakia, and oral complications from cancer therapy. He is a board member of the Society of Oral Oncology.
